The WD-40 question comes back up- 

1. The can does say it lubricates.

2. The MSDS ( a legal document ) says that there is 15 to 25% 'Petroleum
base oil' in the aerosol type of WD-40. (That's the spray can type)

Whether you use it as a lubricant or not- it does have oil in it, and it
does leave a residual, slick, film, after the petroleum distillate evaporates.
