Hi Tom, I don't have a stack yet but plan on putting one up for 20m.
The observations I have with people with stacks on 20m, 15m, and 10m is
that all of the time the stack works best. Most of the time the upper
antennas work as good as the stack and seldom does the low antenna work
as well as the stack or the upper antennas. This observation was made
on stations in the USA, Europe and Japan. The observations are
confirmed by the stations using the stack. I lesson here is to have as
many towers and antennas up to cover all the possibilities. You can
change the take off angle on a stack by changing the phasing on the
antennas.
