Here is an excerpt from my score submission from 3830 for
the 1999 CQWW WPX contest. I did a single band 15M effort.
Also what was amazing is that the lowest antenna was the loudest
antenna out of any combination for many EU stations calling in.
And I'm not talking about at the peak of the opening. All the
way until 3 hours after EU sunset (I would consider that the
band is closing for that path) the low antenna was great.
Sometimes the 4 stack was better, sometimes the single antenna
at 172' (52m) was better. We've never really experienced that
from here in Wisconsin. It was, at times, 2 S-units better than
any other combination. That means that pea-shooter stations
would have a much louder signal than the 4-stack! Neat!

p.s. The antennas were homebrew 6el 48'boom, evenly spaced up a 172'
tower at KS9K/W9JA.
