[TowerTalk] Cell phone radiation to the head

Hi Guys,

I have been wondering how much RF the cell and PCF phones are delivering to
the head being that they range from 800MHz to 1.8GHz.

I hear that the new phones will have to list this but not sure how it will
be interpreted.

Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] Cellular Antennas on Building Roofs

Contrary to Ham Radio antennas, and the highest ERP money can
buy,
cellular is deliberately limited range. The same frequencies
have to be
reused over and over again, especially tightly in dense areas.
The
antennas are quite sharp, the transmitters QRP by our standards.
Sometimes cellular antennas have to be lowered and transmitter
power
reduced because the transmitted signals are going too far, and
screwing
up an adjacent cell.

12-15 feet below the antennas anywhere on the roof I doubt you
could
find even a milliwatt to measure. Perfectly safe. That celphone
next to
your head is a lot stronger.
