Fellas,
I haven't been following this thread but I think what you are referring to
is the shock absorber technique in the mast between the main mast and the
rotator as described by Dave Leeson, W6NL (ex W6QHS) who wrote Physical
Design of Yagi Antennas, an ARRL publication.
