'Mornin 'tawkers, and Happy New Year. I'm running ac lines to a new shack
location, and got to thinking about grounds, and ground loops. Here's the
situation. I have all equipment in the shack tied to a common buss bar
which is connected to a ground rod just outside the wall of the shack. This
rod is connected in-line between the service ground rod, and the tower
ground system. So theoretically, all grounds are at the same potential.
Now, if I plug my equipment in to the wall outlet, I'm connecting to the
ground wire in the supply line wich runs back to the breaker panel. Aren't
I creating an enormous loop? I would think it would be better to ground the
supply outlets to my shack ground rod. I'd appreciate any comments.
tnx es 7 3,
