[TowerTalk] Roof top towers

Hello Dave, wind is the least of your worries. Lightning protection is the
question to ask. I had a Create 15' roof mounted tower (48' total height)
which I thought to be well grounded (4 - 8' ground rods) which took a direct
hit one night. $24k and 18 months later fighting with my home owners
insurance company we finally settled.

I would think twice about a roof mounted tower. 73, Ed - N5NUG
