Another affordable way to get the tuning capacitor is to build one out of
concentric peices of pipe with nylon spacers.
See the great article in October, 1999 CQ mag by VE3ERP..... 4 to 5 feet of
pipe can get you 200 to 300pf depending on diameter ratios. All the details
in the article.
