Hi Ron,

You might as well 'bite the bullet' and open the rotator. I had a problem
with a shorted wire inside the rotator, on the pot. I also found a few
stripped teeth on the pot drive gear. I bought the first one second hand, so
it could have been a slight problem from the beginning, BUT it worked for 15
months before the problem showed up. You can upgrade the internals to a 1000
simply by adding a second set of sandwich gears. Very cheap!
