Hi:
I am planning on installing a guyed ROHN 25G tower up 50 feet and due to
obstructions with a building and trees on my property, I will need to
install elevated guy anchors 10 above the ground. The tower will be
installed per ROHN drawings to withstand a max. wind of 90 MPH, that
sometime occurs here in N. Texas with storm passage. The tower will be
guyed at 22 and 45 foot level with top guy at 41 degrees. Each guy will be
adjusted to 400 lb.. tension load.

ROHN recommends a buried anchor that 3 feet wide, 3 feet long and 1.5 feet
high down 4 feet into the ground. The anchor weighs 1,890 lb.. and .50 CU
Yard on concrete.

I need help in determining the size of pipe, width of hole and depth of hole
for an elevated anchor that will be 10 feet above ground. I am interested
in personal experiences with this type of installation and possibly
instructions on how to compute the loads that the anchor will experience.
This information will be used in developing installation
instructions/drawings that will be provided to the city for building permit.

Thanks
Mark KM5UP
