That's not the way it is. If you played with some antennas that give you edge 
over the competitor, you would see that results for the contester are 
significant. I have done it and have results that prove it. 
Again, couple of dB on one end can translate to many more at the other end, 
especially under marginal conditions. 
Being S9 + 20 or S9 + 21 is hardly perceptible, but being S0 (no signal) or 
S0 + .5 dB makes difference between not copying and copying the signal.
