It would be useful to know what you have available for supports
and the size of your available property.

One simple idea is a trap dipole for the high bands attached to
a tower leg or placed on a mast above a rotating beam, parallel
to the boom to avoid interaction. Drill a second hole in the
mounting plate that will accept a smaller U bolt (1-3/8 or 1-1/2)
and use a piece of 1 to 1-1/4 inch PVC to protect the tower leg.

A pair of dipoles at 90 degrees to each other would give you
instant 360 degreee coverage within 3 dB without the need for
a rotor. 40 ft is a VERY good height for daytime waveangles
for both DX and domestic coverage.

A vertical with lots of radials is a good solution on the low bands.
MFJ has a excellent 80 / 40 vertical that is full size on 40M with
an isolating / top loading coil and capacity hat. It is rated for
1500 W on 40M and 1000 W on 80M. Price is around $160.
