Doesn't that depend on how BIG the rope is?

It's an interesting thought problem -- how big would a Dacron rope have 
to be to have the 4000 lb breaking strength (assuming a small tower) of 
typical EHS or Phyllistran tower guys?  Second thought problem -- how 
much would such a mongo Dacron rope cost per foot, compared to EHS or 
Phyllistran?

Any mechanical engineers out there?

Certainly one can't replace 3/16" EHS with 1/2" Dacron rope. They aren't 
even in the same league strength-wise.
