	There are some ropes made for boats that have about the same breaking
strength as 3/16" wire.  But, you have to get to 5/16 or greater for 4400#
breaking strength.  The REALLY low stretch stuff is over $2.50 a foot, but
you can use lower stretch and pull like crazy to take up the stretch.  It
goes for about $1.00 per foot.
	I personally would not like to depend on rope (even Dacron) after sun
exposure for any real length of time.  Now, for a temporary guy during
construction, it would be great.  Light enough to be attached to the top of
the new section and hold it steady until a permanent wire guy can be attached.
