All the sling shot ideas have been great.  CQ had one using a step ladder as 
the main frame.  The step ladder is portable and the angle is about right 
also. Tie a 2' 2x4 "T' to the top of the step ladder, connect the rubber 
tubing to its ends, leather pouch and fire away with fairly heavy weights if 
necessary to completely clear the tree and fall to the ground on the other 
side.  It can be pulled back with both arms.  A trigger mechanism would be 
great.  K7GCO
