Rope .. yes! mid-70s --I put together a mono 6 el 10M for stacking over my
2015 Wilson, and ignored the advice from Jim to put rope in the elements to
dampen the wind caused vibrations. OOOOPS ... first winter, fine. Spring,
Summer, Fall, OK .. 2nd Winter .. well, element pieces were found in the
neighborhood yards. Not all were found .. `nuff said.
Mark .AA6DX (and, would rather use aluminum rivets than any other known
"clamp" ... along with Penetrox, or one of those type conductivity
enhancers!)
