[TowerTalk] winch brake

I am about to put up a telescoping tower.  A friend who is
helping me has had a motorized telescoping tower for several
years.  The winch has a disk brake arrangement from Towtech,
which seems to have gone out of business.  Does anybody have
any suggestions for a safe, effective brake? Thanks & 73 de
