I am seeing that some are having problems with aluminum pop rivets. At
work we use aluminum pop rivets for NON-STRUCTURAL applications.
However, when we use pop rivets for structural applications we use
STAINLESS STEEL pop rivets. Yes. Stainless pop rivets are available and
are much stronger than aluminum and being stainless no problem with
  bi-metallic concerns.

Check a McMASTER CARR catalog. If you do not have access to a catalog,
try searching the web for McMaster Carr.

Maybe Force 12 should consider a switch to stainless in leiu of aluminum
pop rivets. 73 de Arne N7KA New Mexico

Arne: This is a great suggestion and thank heaven for TT. That's a good
idea if they and the hole are coated first with silicone or the other
greases and 2
rows of rivets are used at 90 degrees. It still only gives a little over 90
degrees of a "Press Fit" for RF conduction instead of 360 degrees. I'd use
6
of these rivets real close to coated joint and 3 further back to achor the
tubing mechanically and electrically. Even I could live with that. Do they
make tinny tiney small diameter copper pop rivets for copper wire Press Fit
Splices? This way the weak fingered don't have to twist the wire joint
before soldering it. k7gco
