I don't know about the Hy-Gain but a I have moved a Cushcraft 40M rotatable  
to 30 meters before by cutting off the heat shrink and taking turns off of 
each inductor. Just use an MFJ or Autek antenna "tweaker"!  Then, once you 
get the turns right, put new heat shrink over the inductors, if that is the 
way the Hy-Gain is setup. (You will notice a slight shift in resonance once 
the heat shrink is reapplied.)
