Radiax is a hardline with slits in the shield to allow controlled leakage
(ingress and egress) if RF along it's length. It comes in all sizes up to
very large, just like Heliax, and was designed for tunnels, mines etc. Some
was even installed inside the hollow legs of the St.. Louis Arch (for
security and maintenance radios) because the curved shape blocks signals in
a short distance.
