Lee, just copy the Cushcraft 3el. The manuals are on-line at their webpage.
They will even sell you the small parts that you can't find locally.
Mine are all homemade.  I make the gamma rod from a 11" piece of RG8 from
which the outer plastic and braid have been removed. A single U-bolt through
2 holes drilled in the boom is plenty strong to hold the antenna to the
mast, and also a single 1/4" bolt through the element will hold it to the
boom just fine. A saddle bent from aluminum plate squares up the elements.
