[TowerTalk] 5 db required to see?

Not the contesters, but common sense in nearly any antenna application
were signal levels are unpredictable requires the losses are minimized
and gain maximized.
No matter if the antenna is a complex array or a flagpole, stated
what's the supposed goal (anything is allowable), the best choice is to
decide the simpler and most economical way not to trash energy.
The real problem is that dBs are "small numbers" not used in common
life and some people doesn't realize that adding dBs (logarithm is a
pure number) lead to multiply the phisical entity.
Can we consider a slight one a 1 dB reduction in our monthly wages ?
And 1 dB per year ?
And 6 dB per year ?
And 12 dB per year ?
