      Some specs in the Rohn catalog are just ONE way of doing something (eg. 
80% guy anchor distances). You'll notice that the amount of concrete in 
either base configuration is about the same in both cases. Obviously the 
WEIGHT of the concrete is going to be about the same. Note: both specs are on 
the "anchor bolt" drawing. There is ONE spec when you use the drawing for 
concrete stub legs (I'm ignoring the 'cylinder base installation' drawing.)

     Like I said before, you're not going to get into any problem areas by 
varying the base dimensions slightly but you need at least the amount of 
concrete in the spec in the hole.

      Well, sorry about that but just about everything discussed on TowerTalk 
has some engineering implications - both mechanical and electrical.
