[TowerTalk] Tic Ring calibration problem.

I finally got around to getting up on the tower to see why my Tic
Ring would get out of calibration and what I found was the ring itself
was not running concentric.
I had a friend in the shack turn it in small (15 to 45 degree )
increments and the gears meshed real good in some places but very poor
in others. In some places it was not at all meshed hence the
calibration problem.
I made sure the adjustable bearing was adjusted in enough to push
the ring into the fixed bearings tight enough, then I picked the place
in the ring that it seated the worst, and adjusted it tight. Oh I forgot
to mention in order to get it to seat, I had to add some flat washers
between the motor and tower bracket to shim it out enough to mesh
properly.
The rotor is now working fine and will repeatedly go to the correct
setting. The meter is a little off from the dial, but I can live with
that.
Thanks to those that answered my email and best 73 and DX.
