    While it's pretty easy to homebrew a connector for CATV coax since it has 
a smooth aluminum shield, the Andrew cables are corrugated and more difficult 
to homebrew a connector for. 

    My Hutton catalog lists N female connectors for $151 each. They don't 
have a UHF connector for the 1-5/8" Heliax.

    Sure.
