[TowerTalk] Beverage question

Question for the low band enthusiasts:

I am getting ready for the autumn ritual of putting up my EU 
Beverage, across a field. For the last several years I've put up a 
wire 500-600 ft long pointed at abt 45 degrees, which is right on 
central EU. I can probably extend it by about 200 ft, but it would be 
pointed a little further south to about 65 degrees.

1. Should I expect any improvement with the added length?
2. Or, would the fact it's pointed a little further away from EU (25-30 
degrees off Scandinavia/Russia, 20 deg off DL) actually make it 
worse?
