I got around local CC&Rs with an off center fed dipole that covers 80
through 6 meters and is near invisible. One leg is 32' and is located 1'
above the roof on phony vent pipes. The feed point is at the side of the
house and is made by running a short piece of 200 ohm twin lead (speaker
wire) through one of the phony vent pipes and the roof to a current mode
4:1 balun providing a good match to 50 ohms. The other leg is 95' and runs
out to a tree at the edge of the lot. I used #18 bare copper wire that was
painted with flat black paint. You can use monofiliment fishing line if
your supports are farther away than the wire ends. Run the monofiliment
through an closed eye hook and connect it to a 5 lb fishing weight for
strain relief.
