Hello,

consider EM Profesional. So far as I have found it is the only competition
to NEC4. So far as I understand the history was:

There were 4 authors of NEC2 engine. Two of them writen NEC4. Two of them
after some time while working on NEC4 left the Livermore laboratory and
started work on their own new engine and started EM... company. The engine
is acording to my experience very good - far superior to NEC2 or
conventional mininec. The draw back is that the authors are
"scientists" so the shell is not very user friendly and the program is
"analytical tool". It does not have any optimization, it handels
reasonably well lumped loads etc. It handels esily over 1000 segments and
it can model correctly elements as close as .03 Lambda.

I am not anyhow conected with them, I am just more-less satisfied user.
