Thanks to everyone on this reflector for your thought provoking comments on
all aspects of planting a tower.
On Friday we set the base for a Tri-Ex LM-470. Since a picture is worth a
1000 words, I took a few digital photos and put them on a web page.

Joel, at First Call Communications provided the "wet stamp" drawings that
my county planner required -- a building permit was issued upon delivery
of the documents. Tri-Ex shipped the base before the tower. While they
missed the original ship date, we did get it in time to not impact (too
much) the overall project.
I used the general contractor who is building my home to do the work. The
entire installation: base, electrical, underground conduits, etc is
included in the home deal. I'm providing the project management for the
ham specific activities, the general contractor is providing the skilled
craftsman.
This arrangement has worked well, the sub-contractors have been great to
work with. I met with each sub to review what we were doing, before they
began their work. It made things a lot easier for them, and me.
Questions? please e-mail ....
Thanks,
Gene K5GS
