You might use a run of parallel coax from the end of the open wire line, 
through the conduit and to a tuner in the shack.  I use parallel runs of RG8 
(or equivalent) taped together to keep both pieces parallel using only the 
center conductor (the shields are not connected together or to ground, they 
just float).  Obviously with this technique you are simply substituting on 
form of parallel feed with another form.  A short run of 20 or so feet will 
not make any practical difference and you eliminate using a balun and coax 
loss for high swr at the higher frequencies.  Good luck,  73   Jan
