[TowerTalk] MA-770 rotator

Rick,

I use a HyGain Tailtwister on my MA-770 with a TH-7 on top. When testing, I
was able to turn the tower with an old Alliance HD-73, but I wouldn't
recommend that rotor for long-term use. I think either of the two largest
Yaesu rotators will work, too (1000 and 2800?), but don't have experience
with them.

Due to the unique configuration of the MA-770, if you cannot line up the
tower so that it tilts directly due N, I would recommend getting a rotator
whose controller will let you select any bearing for the center of rotation.
I believe only  digital rotor controllers let you do that (I use the Hy-Gain
DCU-1.) Not sure if the Yaesu controllers support that feature.
