[TowerTalk] 75/40 meter dipole interaction

I'm wondering if someone can give me some advice.

I've put up a 75 and 40 meter dipole about 8 feet under my beam, up about 40
feet,
slight drop on both ends. It's fed with 100 ft of coax to a balun wound 1:1
(Amidon 2kw core).

The 40 meter antenna is suspended about 1 inch below the 75 meter antenna
with
spacers.

75 meter antenna is resonant at 3860, nice and flat. (noise bridge) Very
low SWR.

The 40 meter antenna is resonant at 7243 but I can't get a nice dip with the
noise
bridge (measures very inductive) and SWR is not great, about 1:5 at
resonance
(lowest point is about 7220) and climbs rapidly.

Can someone tell me if I have some reactance between the two antennas?

Mike
