Use a coating of Plastic DIP -- Heavy Duty Flexible Rubber
Coating...won't crack, chip or peel.  Last for years, stops rust and
corrosion, insulates, cushions and protects against UV and moisture.

I've used it on fiberglass insulators that otherwise would feather in
the summer sun and then fill with moisture in the winter and fracture.
It's cured the problem completely...perfect for sealing those Cushcraft
zinc screws the rust underneath the trap end-caps. Also great for
coating solder connections on dipoles, etc.
