Try your local ham radio clubs, Gerry. They usually have some young hams that
have done that type of work. Tree trimming companies have what is called a
"cherry picker" which is a bucket that will take someone up to where the
cables need to be removed so you don't have to climb the tower. That makes
the job much easier. Make sure you properly block the sections and release
tension from the cables before disconnecting them. If you don't have that
information, it can be supplied by the manufacturer of the tower--or may be
included if you buy a set of replacement cables from them. Have a spare set
of bolts, nuts, washers and pulleys as some of those items will not be
reusable and you won't know which ones until you get into the job.
