[TowerTalk] Phillystran sizing and use

I hope this is a simple question.....
I am putting guys on top of my 40' Rohn 25 tower. The Rohn book calls for
the use of about 50' of 3/16 EHS for each guy. 50' seems to fall in the
"to be avoided" lengths per the ARRL antenna book discuss on guy wire to
antenna interactions...
So, if I wanted to use Phillystran for the upper section of each guy (using
EHS for the bottom section hedging against vandals, etc.), what size of
Phillystran do I need? I can not find anything that says which of the 5
diameters of Phillystran stocked by Texas Towers I should use. To get the
same breaking strength per guy as 3/16 EHS, I would need to use the middle
size of the 5. Is that overkill? What should I tension the guys to? The
same 10% figure as in EHS?
Or, at 40', is it going to be worth the hassle of using Phillystran at all???
Thanks and have a good weekend,
Nat Davis
