Aren´t you supposed to prestretch Phillystran before you
install? That will take away the initial strech and it will
     act like steal I suppose.
In Europe we have stuff called Parafile and I guess it´s
just about the same as the Philly stuff, this Parafile is
supposed to be prestretched to 30% (I think it was 30)
of the breakingtourqe before you install on tower and then
set it to correct installed tourqe.
I´ve heard about people almost loosing their towers due to
not initialy stretch the Parafile. It will then lenghten quite a
     bit after the first windstorm.
Is it 30% for Phillystran also? It might be something else
but 30 since I´m not sure on my memmory, I´m getting old!

My 100' Rohn 25 tower now has top guys of 6700 lb Phillystran which I
bought used (I know it's overkill). My question -- what's the
recommended
static tension for this size Philly? Even at 300 lb, it looks plenty
straight, because the guy material itself is so light, but I suspect the
answer is more complicated than that. I know Philly is stretchier than
EHS
of equivalent strength, so I want to make sure and not have any more
wiggle
than necessary.
