The TB-4 is for a 3 inch mast. It takes 3/8 x 16tpi 1-1/2"long for the
horizontal bolts that grip the mast. They need a jam nut installed to
tighten it down AFTER the mast has been secured. If you had no jam nut,
that's why it came loose. Don't get galvanized for this, the heavy coating
probably won't allow the screw to thread in. Also be careful of using
stainless here too. The deep threads in the aluminum might gall . I would
use standard hardware grade 2 cad plated nut and bolt. Some goo in the hole
may make it easier to remove later.

The mounting flange uses 1/2" bolts 1-1/2" long. Any pitch is OK, as long as
the nut fits. Go with Galvanized or stainless either one OK here, since the
nut will be of the same material. Use a lockwasher or Nylock jam nut to help
keep it tight.

Never grease galvanized or SS bolts before assembly.

Good luck, Geo>K0FF
