[TowerTalk] R7 Vertical Traps

A double query:

1)  Has anyone had success rebuilding the coaxial capacitors in the R7
trap assemblies?  A friend discovered dielectric breakdown after removing
the shrink wrap.  As the dielectric inside the aluminum tubes appeared
sound, he scraped off the exposed dielectric and tried using vinyl tape
to weatherproof the exposed center conductor.  This caused failure of the
trap as resonance is 500-600 kc off.  If anyone has better success than
this, input would be appreciated.

2)  Anyone out there have an R7 available, working or not, as long as the
17 and 30-meter traps are untouched?  Or, anyone with 17 and 30-meter
traps available?
