[TowerTalk] Call Signs

This is off the topic of towers, so I hope you all forgive me. Does anyone
know a internet based database where I could look up the last person that a
call sign was issued to? Someone that I talked to on the phone (not on the
air) claims his call sign is one that the Vanity Call Sign Headquarters
says is immediately available. Don't know if he's a fake or his call
expired a while back.
