Lonnie,

What I done on side mounted swinging gate type antenna mounts with prop
pitch rotators and CDE inside control boxes is the following:

I have found a number of junk Rotobrake control boxes that I have removed
the 2 gears and frame that drive the pointer, I replaced the pot with an AB
Type J 500 ohm (3/4 turn) pot and linked the gears to the top of the side
arm mast. This has worked well. The shaft is 1/4" and I use a u-strap over
the top of the side arm pipe with a 1/4" stud sticking up and then either a
set screw coupling or a piece of flexible hose to couple the gear stud to
the stud on the side arm mast. I know this may not fit your situation
exactly but may give you some ideas if you can't find the 1 turn pot (I
couldn't)!
