    Not really. The "manufacturer" is the company that designs and 
manufactures it. In Rohn's case, they buy finished products from other 
manufacturers for resale; i.e. EHS guy cable, tension gauges, Preformed 
grips, screw-in anchors, etc. So in ALL cases, you go back to THE 
manufacturer for their specs and instructions. Rohn IS NOT the authority or 
manufacturer for Preformed grips. Neither is US Tower the authority or 
manufacturer of the cables they use so for UST to say you don't need to 
lubricate the cables is not only wrong but bad advice. But Rohn IS the 
authority for THEIR products.

    In case anyone forgot, the LXC Prime Directive is to "DO what the 
manufacturer says."
