Don

I have Dunestar multiband bandpass filters on each transceiver auto switched
from band data. One radio has an Alpha 87A and the other an Acom 1000.
These both feed into an Array Solutions Six Pack with short RG213 jump
leads. On the output side of the Six Pack I have stubs for 160, 80, 40, &
20m.

With this arrangement I can hear well on any band whilst running on any
other. I do have audible rx noise floor modulation but nothing that moves
the s-meter to more than S 2. In practice not much of a problem. Of course
working in the vicinity of a second harmonic is not too much fun but pretty
easy to avoid.

The key to all of this is to make you're filter switching automatic and as
fail safe as possible. You certainly have the potential to vaporise your
rig's front end (and worse) if you put a foot wrong. One thing I haven't
done yet but really feel I ought to, is implement a "Same band tx lockout".
It's amazing the daft things you can do after 30 hours at the rig in one of
the big ones!

Have fun!
