Most any maintenance I can think of would require loosening
and dropping the guy in towards the tower anyway, so I'm not
sure what good it will do you, but the Phillystran factory
will make up guy lines to order with "Skelter Socket" terminations
which are very short.
Or: Rohn, Pirod, and others have fiberglass insulators in various
lengths (18", 36", etc.) made for insulating towers from steel
guy systems. Like the Phillystran solution, not cheap.
Porcelan strain insulators should work - not enough voltage
rating?
