Hi,

I'm new to the list. I have a question for all you tower experts out there.
I have a "homebrew" 40'tilt-over tower...It basically consists of a Rohn HBX
40. It is supposed to be capable of 10 sq. ft. of antenna. I'm going to put
a cushcraft A4S on it, my main question is that I'd also like to put an A3WS
above it on a 10' mast. The windload should be fine...but I'm curious about
the torque forces with the 18' and 14' booms, when I think rohn doesn't
recommend booms above 10'
So, the A3WS will be 8' above the tower top, up around 50'. I really believe
the homemade Tilt-over base will increase the windload ability...I am not
experienced on this and would like to hear a few opinions before I complete
this project. Thanks.
                                 73,
                                Daniel Hileman N9WX
