[TowerTalk] New? Cable

Is this actual LMR400 (from Times Microwave, http://www.timesmicrowave.com/)
or some knockoff? It's hard to tell, but it's kind of telling that they say
"meets LMR400 specifications"...

One might wonder if they'll guarantee the performance?
One might wonder if it's being produced off-shore in a country without
intellectual property protection, and so, taking advantage of Times
Microwave's hard work without paying for it.

One might wonder if the cable just closely resembles real LMR400. There IS
a difference between various formulations and molding technique for the
dielectric and jacket, most of which are not obvious to casual inspection or
test equipment, and would only be obvious after a year in the environment,
when, perhaps, the jacket starts to degrade, or the dielectric changes
characteristics.

I note the spool isn't marked.

In any case LMR400 has been around for years. It's very low loss compared to
the RG-8, RG-213 types, particularly at higher frequencies where dielectric
losses start to be important. It's kind of stiff though.

This all said, the stuff might well be just fine and last forever.

Anybody heard of this stuff or experience with it?
Thanks
