    I used to think that an LP wasn't a very good antenna. Eric, N7CL, posted 
a very thoughtful and informative post to TT a couple of years ago extolling 
the virtues of the LP. It changed my mind about their usefulness. A list 
search at www.contesting.com (put in <towertalk log periodic> or <towertalk n7cl>) 
should turn up the info.
