[TowerTalk] antenna impedence and ground impedence??

Hi, Dan;
Can your measure the real and reactive components of the impedance?
When you say 'loaded vertical,' I'm guessing you imply a vertical
element shorter than 1/4 wavelength and the real component is less than
36 ohms.
What model are you using and what ground model? NEC 2 models don't
calculate impedance of grounded verticals over real ground very well.
Ground and wire losses can be calculated as the difference between
modeled real resistance over perfect ground and measured resistance of
the actual antenna, but the modeling and other factors must be known.
