Ok about not worring having the stainless steel against the aluminum.
I do have the stainless nuts, and also stainless springs. I can confirm,
that I had the same experience. And standing there, and will screw a nut
backwards and the u-bolts broke, and the new parts is placed in a store
in Australia, one have to count to more than 10 :-).
I think the reason is the high temperatures that occures when thighten
the nuts, and its like they got welded.
I'll see if I can buy something like the Molybdenum Disulfide grease
here in Denmark.
