Personally I've used 4 inch black corrugated drainage pipe (perforated) with good success. It's very flexible and allows one to make long radius sweep elbows and I've never had a problem pulling new cables and having them snag on the corrugations. I use the rot resistant poly electrical pull string/rope for a pull rope. I dug the trench with a rental Ditch Witch, laid down landscaping fabric into the trench and brought it up both sides. Installed the pipe and then wrapped the two side of landscape fabric over the top of the pipe to keep out large amounts of mud. After three years, all looks good. At the exposed ends, I bought the plastic cap for the pipe and slotted it to allow the cables to exit but keep out the critters. Only problem is the new puppy likes to rip off the caps and chew on them (better than the cables!!). My max run is 150 ft. for what that's worth. Phil KB9CRY
