[TowerTalk] Top Ten Reasons

WD4K Ttow1 at charter.net

Since some of you just won't follow the rules and I have to read your jabs
and digs aimed at our President....here are my top ten reasons NOT to
reelect Bush.
10. He did not give nuclear technology to North Korea
9. He did not give ICBM missle technology to China
8. He is not an adulterer
7. He does not consider Yasser Arafat a terrorist and one of his closest
friends.
6. He is not Americas first black President
5. He did not bomb an aspirin factory
4. He did not commit perjury
3. He does know what the meaning of is ..is
2. He does not live off of his wifes fortune
1!!!!! He does not own a blue semen stained dress.

If he had done all of these things, I would vote for him...America needs
another embarassment in the White House. Tommy WD4K

Steve,

Attached (Stripped for the List) is a scan of the page I believe you're
looking for.
These dimensions are from my KT34XA which was purchased in 1983.

	Director (D3) A=53", B=44", C=26", D=20"
	Director (D2) 22.5" of 1/2"OD showing
	Director (D1) A=53.5", B=43.5", C=27", D=20"
	Front Driven A=43.75", B=43", C=26.75", D=18"
	Rear Driven A=53", B=47.75", C=27.25", D=21"
	Reflector A=61.5", B=47.5", C=27.75", D=18"

I've since updated my KT34XA to a KT36XA which are different dimensions
using machined shorting bars from M2 in place of the straps on the KLM
original models.

Hi !

I'm looking for the "final" set of A,B,C,D dimensions for the KT-34XA, when
it was still manufactured by KLM. Just want to make sure I have the most
recent dimensions before I put mine back up. I have applied the "Update Kit"
(dated 5/1/1991) to both of my XA's, if that makes a difference to the
dimensions.

I saw several requests for this info in the archives, but no follow-ups. It
would be great if someone could post the A,B,C,D dimensions to Towertalk, so
it would be in the archives forever more.

Thanks and 73,
Steve, N2IC/5

Yes, the technical standards need to be changed to allow BPL: require
all power lines to be shielded.

Blah blah blah. Please keep the political rhetoric off the reflector.
Nothing good will come of discussing it or reelecting Bush ;)

I am sure that all know that political subjects are taboo on the reflector.
I also see that the usual type sees themselves above the rules.

I would not use 9913 on a crankup tower. It's way too stiff and will bow
out. Over time, the constant bending will cause the center conductor to
migrate, affecting the cable impedance. I initially used the much more
flexible Times Microwave LMR-400UF, but even that was too stiff. I had a
near-disaster when the LMR bowed out, swung around the tower and got caught
on the motor housing (I have a remote-controlled tower and can't see it from
the control position.) Ever since, I've used RG-213 with no problems. That
should be fine on a 50-foot tower. However, some comparisons between RG-213
and Buryflex revealed that the latter is actually more flexible. It also has
much lower loss. You can get Buryflex from Radioware
(http://www.radio-ware.com/).
